Mosquitos are infamous for being annoying, sucking your blood, and leaving bite marks on your body. Not only are they just annoying, but they are deadly too. In fact, mosquitos have been called one of the biggest killers in the world. They carry diseases like Malaria West Nile Virus, Encephalitis, Chikungunya, Heartworm (in pets), and also Zika Virus, just to name a few.
Mosquitos can be found just about anywhere throughout the world and typically breed in standing water. Mosquitos can thrive in any climate until the extreme cold months kill them off. In Maryland, mosquito season typically starts in late April and extends to September.
At Calvert Exterminators, of course we are prepared to protect you from these pests at both their larvae and adult stages. Liquid larvicide products are applied directly to water using backpack sprayers and truck or aircraft-mounted sprayers. Tablet, pellet, granular, and briquet formulations of larvicides are also applied by mosquito controllers to breeding areas.
